We are most proud of our work in the community. From our earliest days at the height of the pandemic, we have been very active in the community and have donated tens of thousands of masks to various cultural institutions, public schools and organizations, including:
Jersey City Vaccine Centers
Since the Winter of 2021, at the start of the vaccine effort by Jersey City (New Jersey) to help vulnerable senior citizens in areas hardest hit by COVID-19, we donated masks to nurses and staff on the front lines of the vaccine deployment.
Allergy & Asthma Network and Sanofi Genzyme
Since the Fall of 2020, we sponsored and partnered with the Allergy & Asthma Network (AAN) and Sanofi Genzyme to help slow the spread of COVID-19 across the country, particularly within communities of color which have been disproportionately impacted by this once in a lifetime pandemic. AAN piloted the Trusted Messengers project where hundreds of patients in Atlanta were screened for COVID-19, asthma, COPD and were able to consult with healthcare professionals. We donated thousands of masks for people who either tested positive for COVID-19 or are considered to be at high risk. We will continue to sponsor this project as it expands nationally.
Since the Fall of 2020, we sponsored and partnered with the Hispanic Federation (HF) to provide thousands of masks to its member and partner agencies across the United States, as well as to donate to people in their communities. Working with local groups in states with a high concentration of Latinos, HF ensures that these organizations have the equipment they need to continue their work. This partnership will help HF ensure that the Latino community continues to be protected and potentially save thousands of people from illness and death.
Hispanic Scholarship Fund
Since the Fall of 2020, we sponsored and partnered with Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF), the nation’s largest non-profit organization supporting Hispanic American higher education, to help HSF safely continue to do incredible work; HSF is also the sole administrator of The Gates Scholarship by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. We are proud to partner with and donate masks to HSF as they continue to provide critical services to communities of color.
